Julie didn't want to go to New York City. She didn't like flying. But somehow, like always, she let Candice twist her arm.

"You are going to love my other cousin!" Candice exclaimed. Candice was visiting her New York relatives this summer. Since her sister would not be able to go with her this year, she decided to take her virtual sister.

Julie hated to fly.
by Shawn at 10:44 PM

Sunday, April 01, 2001
"Candice, I told you I hate flying," said Julie.

"I know, but we have 2 choices. One is get to New York in 2 hours. The other one was spend 2 days total on travel for each trip. The trip to New York and the trip back. Flying's the best option," said Candice.

Julie still wasn't thrilled. The airport was huge. She felt like a shrimp lost in the ocean. She glanced over at the TV to get a check on the weather. She wanted to make sure it would be sunny the whole time she was in the air.

Over by the TV was this attractive young man. All of the sudden, her mind did a flip-flop. She now was wishing that this guy was on her plane sitting next to her. She knew she was being real stupid but something about this boy 75 feet from her jump-started her mind. It would be great to speak to another guy after the heartbreak Brandon had given her.
by Shawn at 11:16 AM

"Jules... Jules... they've announced our departure... Hello... earth to Jules!" Candice tried to get her cousin to stop staring at some guy next to the TV. `OMG!' Candice thought to herself, `It can't be... nah............he's suppose to be...' "Julie!" Candice raised her voice. She noticed the guy look at her and her cousin as Julie came back out of her fog.

"What?" Julie asked, "Did you find the Dramamine?" Julie began looking through her purse again. The guy she had noticed before began walking over to them. As if Julie wasn't nervous enough.

"They're boarding the plane... c'mon, let's go." Candice explained. Just as Candice grabbed Julie's arm to lead her to the ticket counter, the young man had reached them.

"Excuse me... but I was wondering if you could help me?" he said to the two women. Candice and Julie turned to look at the young man.
by TammTamm at 2:49 PM

Julie's jaw dropped. Candice blushed as she clapped her hand over Julie's mouth.

"What do you need?" Candice asked. "We can try to help,"

The young man looked around nervously.

"This may sound like a completely stupid question, but do you know where the men's restroom is? I can't seem to find it..."

His cheeks were flushed and Candice stifled a small giggle. Julie recovered from her initial shock and removed Candice's hand from her mouth.

"It's over there, " she said. " See that blue door to your left? That's the restroom."

The young man breathed a small sigh of relief.

"Thank you, " he said. "I didn't want to get on that New York flight and use those bathrooms on there. They're the size of a hole in the wall! Thanks..."

Julie nodded and smiled. The guy hurried off. Candice turned to her cousin.
by Sara at 4:49 PM

"I can't believe who just asked us where is the bathroom is!" exclaimed Julie. "I knew I was looking at a hot guy but didn't know it was THAT hot guy!"

Candice was fanning herself with her ticket. "We better get on our flight or we aren't going to New York. Hope he's on our flight. By the way, do you need the Dramamine?"

Julie laughed. "Not after that encounter!"
by Shawn at 5:51 PM

Once they boarded their plane and were seated, a flight attendant stopped by to speak with them.

"Excuse me, but I've been asked to ask you both if you would mind moving up to first class." the flight attendant smiled at them sincerely.

"Surely, you can't be serious!" Julie exclaimed. Candice, on the other hand, couldn't believe their luck.

"Julie, you don't turn down a chance to sit in first class." Candice said to her cousin. She turned to the flight attendant, "Are you sure it's all right, there's enough room?" Candice wanted to be sure that they weren't being duped.

"I'm positive. C'mon, I'll help you gather your things and walk you up front." the flight attendant said.

"Wait a second... why us two? There are dozens of other people on this plane." Julie wondered out loud.

"Someone requested it." the flight attendant responded.
by TammTamm at 9:06 PM

"Hi, girls! I thought you would never make it up here," the young man said when Julie and Candice got to first class. "I had these extra seats up here expecting my friends to join me, but they decided they'll get into town at a later time. I didn't want the seats to go to waste. I hope you don't mind me asking you to come up here."

"Oh no, we sure don't!" exclaimed Candice.

"Thank you very much," Julie replied.

"So what takes two young girls like you up to New York City?"

Julie wasn't going to let Candice speak up this time. "Actually, my cousin here is visiting her other relatives. And she asked that I come along this time. By the way, my name is Julie. And this is -."

"My name is Candice."

Monday, April 02, 2001
"Julie... Candice... it's nice to meet you. I'm sorry about approaching you like that in the airport. Guess I was nervous." the young man explained.

"Did you really need to use the men's room?" Julie said and then quickly turned red from embarrassment, "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to blurt that out," all three of them laughed.

"It's okay... really... and yes, I did. Are you always this nervous when you fly, Julie?" the young man got out of his seat and crouched down next to Julie's seat. She was sitting on the aisle and fidgeting with her seatbelt. He placed a comforting hand on hers, which forced Julie to look at him and look into his gorgeous blue eyes. "We'll be fine... you'll see."

"Excuse me, but the captain is about ready to take off. We'll be taxi-ing in a few minutes. Please take your seat." The flight attendant that had retrieved the women earlier asked the young man.

Candice looked from the young man to her cousin.

"You know, I think Jules might handle the take-off better with you sitting here next to her. Do you mind if we switch seats until after we're in the air?" Candace asked him.

"If it's all right with Julie, not at all." he replied.

"God, his smile is to die for."  Julie thought to herself as she nodded that she didn't mind.
by TammTamm at 1:10 AM

"I don't mind at all," Julie said aloud. She didn't want the young man to know she found him attractive.

"Then it's settled. Candice, let's go ahead and do it," the young man said. He and Candice switched seats so he could be next to Julie. "I'll sit here until we're in the air and then Candice can have this seat back."

"Actually," said Candice, "I was hoping to get a nap in on the flight. I could sit here the whole flight. I hope you don't mind, do you Julie?"

Julie looked at Candice and then at the young man. She knew what Candice was doing. She would like a chance to talk to him "in private" but at the same time, wished Candice would be there for her flight nerves. Candice flashed a big smile at her. Julie was stuck with one answer, "Oh, I don't mind at all. I can just talk with - oh goodness, I feel bad but we don't even know your name! What is your name?" she asked the young man.
by Shawn at 1:50 PM

Candice gave Julie a knowing look, they both thought he looked a lot like Scott Rolen of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team, but didn't want to say anything in case they were wrong.

"Jeff. Jeff Rolen. I'm on my way up to New York to catch up with my older brother, Scott. Are either of you interested in baseball?" Jeff asked them both. Julie smiled. She loved baseball. She wasn't very good with statistics but she loved going to the stadium and watching a good game on the weekends.

"Okay, that makes sense. You and Scott look an awful lot alike. Do you play?" Julie asked. Candice smiled to herself `Julie and Jeff will be talking the whole flight about baseball. I'll get my nap in yet."

"Yeah, but Scott's the star. I'd rather act." Jeff replied.
by TammTamm at 4:16 PM

"But if you've got talent for baseball, why don't you play?" Julie asked. She looked into Jeff's blue eyes and melted.

"I never said I played baseball." Jeff laughed and then admitted, "But, I am being scouted."

"Don't let him fool you miss, he's the top draft pick from last year. He's playing for the Mets this year." an older gentleman in the seat in front of Jeff turned around to reply.

"Jeff, are you pulling my chain?" Julie didn't hesitate to ask.

"No, it's true. That's Max, my manager, and yes, I'll be playing first base for the Mets this season." Jeff explained.

"Why lie?" Candice asked from her seat across the aisle.

"I like to think I'm being modest. I'm nowhere near as good as Scott. It's amazing that I'm even playing in the major leagues. And I didn't lie when I said that I'd rather act. That's true." Jeff covered.
by TammTamm at 7:50 PM

Tuesday, April 03, 2001
"If you prefer to act, then why are you playing baseball?" asked Julie.

"Because I could get a job in baseball. Acting's kinda tough to break into."

"So is baseball," said Candice.

Jeff laughed. "That's true. But I got a lot more offers from baseball then I did from acting. I had to go with the best deal. The Mets won on that one." Jeff stopped and smiled at Julie. "So what do you two do?"

"Well," said Candice, "in the day, I work for a customer service contractor. At night, I attend school. I'm working my way to a degree in computer science."

"What about you, Julie?" asked Jeff.
by Shawn at 9:01 PM

Wednesday, April 04, 2001
"Would you believe I work in radio and leave it at that?" Julie asked Jeff. She wasn't about to tell him that she was `Jules Diamond', famous late night radio show disc jockey and famed author of several romance novels at the age of 25.

"Don't like what you do?" Jeff asked.

"Nah, she loves it. She's on vacation and doesn't want to be recognized. That's why we were originally sitting back there." Candice explained.

"Go to sleep already Candice. Geez." Julie said as she gripped the arms to her chair as she noticed the plane had taken off.

"So tell me what you do?" Jeff again asked. He took his hand and cupped Julie's chin to turn her face so that he could look her in the eye. Insightful as he was, he wanted to take her mind off the plane taking off so he thought if he got her to tell him what she did that it would ease her death grip on the seat.

"I'm a disc jockey with a nation-wide adult contemporary show weekly across the states." She wasn't about to tell him that she was `Jules Diamond', famous late night radio show disc jockey and famed author of several romance novels at the age of 25 under the pen name of J.D. Vuw. Only her inner circle and her parents knew. The world would know soon enough though. One of her books was being made into a movie.
by TammTamm at 5:59 PM

"Ok, so you don't want to elaborate. That's ok," Jeff said. Jeff was about to speak more when a honker of a snore roared through the cabin. Candice had fallen asleep. "Does she always snore like that?"

Julie laughed at her cousin. "Ever since I can remember. The nicknames they gave her at slumber parties: 'De Plane! De Plane' because she was that loud."

Jeff laughed at that comment. "What sort of nicknames did they give you?"

"Nicknames?"

"Yeah, if she's 'De Plane! De Plane!', you have to have one," said Jeff.
by Shawn at 9:45 PM

Thursday, April 05, 2001
"Maybe I didn't have any nicknames other than 'Jules?' Maybe I never did anything that earned me a nickname?" Julie said evasively.

Jeff looked at her and laughed. "Somehow I just don't believe it. There's just something about you that tells me that you had a really great nickname. But you apparently don't want to tell me what it is. I'll find out what it is. Even if I have to wake up 'De Plane' over there."

"Candice is loyal and she'd never tell you anything I didn't want her to," Julie argued.

"So there is a nickname!" Jeff announced.
by Angie at 1:15 AM

Julie sat for a few moments before replying to Jeff. She then muttered, "Jules of Denial. Brandon gave me that nickname. His little pet name for me and only he got away of calling me that. But that’s the only one you’re getting out of me!” She stopped and stared at the floor before looking back into Jeff‘s captivating eyes. “Brandon 'It's better if we're only friends' Patterson. Oh no, his athletic career came before us. I hope he crashes at what he does. Let his team be the worst in its division.” She didn’t want to bring up Brandon and the break up but she had to let it out. It was hard be a romance novelist and listen to other stories of love when the love of her life had left her and keep a happy appearance.

“What does he do?” asked Jeff.

“Would you believe it or not? Baseball!”

“You’re kidding me!”

“Nope, I’m not kidding. He played all throughout college and was playing for a nearby farm team when he was shipped to another farm team.”

“And what was his name again?” asked Jeff. A Brandon Patterson taken out of the minors had also been acquired by the Mets around the time he had. He didn’t want her Brandon to be the same Brandon he’d be working with.

“Brandon Patterson. Oh, I don’t mean to get nasty like this but he just broke my heart the worst it's even been. And you know what was the most painful thing about the break up?” she asked. It was feeling great to talk about the break up with another person that wasn’t Candice.

“What?” asked Jeff.
by Shawn at 8:20 AM

"That I actually loved the butt munch," Julie said. She took a long sigh and started crying. “I sat by him when he decided not to take a job straight out of college with a high tech firm. He wanted to play baseball and the only team he could sign on with was that farm team. I thought it would have been wiser to take the tech job but I stood by him - no - encouraged him to follow his dream and his love of baseball." Tears streamed down her cheeks.

Jeff could see she was in pain. That this was something she didn't want to talk about but couldn't help. He pulled aside a flight attendant to get Julie a drink. "Why did you allow him to follow baseball if you didn't want him to play it?" he asked. He wanted to see what this Brandon that might be his teammate was leaving behind.

"Because I loved the goofball. I wanted him to be happy. He always seemed happiest at baseball. That's what you do when you're in love. You're willing to put aside the better things to make sure your honey is happy. And I thought he really did love me. You should have seen the day he asked me to marry him." Julie stopped to take the water and a couple of tissues from the flight attendant. She took a few drinks and wiped the tears from her face.

Jeff took the tissues from her. "What did the 'butt munch' do?" he asked.
by Shawn at 10:52 AM

Before Julie had the chance to answer the question, Candice awoke. Julie and Jeff looked over at her. Jeff was holding Julie's hand in comfort. Jeff decided to lighten the mood. "Well, good morning, 'De Plane'!"

"Julie, you told him! Ugh, I thought I got away from that name!"

"I'm just joking. Believe it or not, I snore like a train," said Jeff.

"Well, Miss Mouse over there just doesn't understand the idea of snoring," said Candice. "If you will excuse me, I need to escort myself to the little misses' room."

"Ok," said Julie.

Candice walked over to the rest room and locked herself in it. She pulled out her pager in her pocket to send a message to a friend. The message said "DANGER WILL ROBINSON DANGER!" Candice and her partner in crime had a monkey wrench thrown into their engine of a scheme.
"Well, before 'De Plane' got up to excuse herself, you were about to tell me about proposal day," said Jeff.
by Shawn at 11:33 AM

"Oh, I don't want to bother you with it." Julie blushed. She looked down the aisle and saw Candice coming back from the rest room. "Did you have a great time in there?" she asked, playfully.

"Only the best first class could offer," said Candice. She turned to Jeff. "Who are you playing this Friday?"

"Why?"

"Because my cousin Debra is taking us to a game at Shea. She said we couldn't visit New York without stopping at Shea. I'd like to know if I'm going to be rooting for the home team or not."
by Shawn at 12:46 PM

"Why not vote for my team? Aren't I a nice enough guy?" Jeff asked Candice. Candice refrained herself from rolling her eyes at him. Yes, he was a nice enough guy, but he was interfering in her plans... big time.

"Sorry... I really hate all New York teams... can't help it really... grew up that way... I love to hate the all New York Teams." Candice replied.

"So you wouldn't be rooting for my team no matter what then?" Jeff sounded hurt.

"Don't take her seriously, Jeff. She's just giving you a hard time. It's true that she hates New York with a passion, but hey, who doesn't?" Julie tried to get Jeff to forget about Candice and her skepticism. "Candice, go back to sleep... after all, you're the one who wanted to get a nap in before we got to New York." Julie gave her friend a look as if to say `I'm having a great time talking with this guy. Don't ruin this for me'.
by TammTamm at 9:02 PM

Candice saw Julie's glare. She liked the fact that Julie was able to move on but not with the information she had. Candice Dixon did not have a cousin Debra. Candice didn't have ANY relatives in New York. Candice was a good old Tampa girl, just like Julie. Candice Dixon was actually in a ploy with Brandon Patterson.

"I'll go back to sleep, if I can. I can't help it if you two chatterboxes are keeping me up. Actually, my cousin told me that the Braves are playing. And like any good southern girl, if I can't root for my team, I must root for another regional team."

"Hey, I can seat you in the players' family area if you want," said Jeff.

"YES!" shouted Julie.

"NO!" shouted Candice.

In New York, Brandon Patterson's pager went off. He was in the middle of an interview with The Tampa Tribune about local sports stars. He had finally made it to the majors.

"Excuse me," he said to the reporter. He walked to a private area of the room to read the pager. The number it was from was Candice's pager.

"DANGER WILL ROBINSON DANGER!"

'I wonder what that means,' thought Brandon. He would have to wait until after the interview to get in touch with Candice.

by Shawn at 2:02 PM

"They're really great seats behind the dug out. You'll love it!" Jeff explained.

"That's really nice of you to offer, Jeff, but my cousin already bought the tickets and everything." Candice fibbed.

"Well, maybe we could get together in between the games and practices then Jeff?" Julie suggested. Candice said that they would have lots of time to shop in New York and they were planning on going to the Rosie O'Donnell show to see if they could get in on stand-by for a show.

"I wouldn't want to rain on your vacation. Besides... we just met and everything." Jeff said.

"Excuse me..." Candice said and went back to the bathroom.

"You think she's okay?" Jeff asked Julie.

by TammTamm at 4:38

Candice was about to go crazy in the rest room. At the rate Jeff and Julie were bonding, they would be married before Friday's game. She needed to speak to Brandon before Jeff and Julie had gotten any father then their relationship was.

Thank goodness they had in flight phones in the first class rest rooms. Candice decided to dial up Brandon.

"Brandon?" she said when he picked up the phone.

"Candice? What's the matter? I'm in the middle of an interview," he said.

"Have you met Jeff Rolen yet?"
by Shawn at 4:46 PM

"Jeff Rolen? Uh... name sounds familiar... why?" Brandon asked.

"Because he's charming his ass off on Julie, that's why, and it looks as if you've got competition now, buddy boy." Candice explained.

"Crap. Crap crap crap crap crap... Well, there's nothing I can do until you two land. I'll meet you both at my apartment like we planned, all right? And keep her away from him. Please." Brandon said as he hung up the phone. `Please, god, let me just get her back. I need her in my life. Just let me have the chance to tell that to her. Please!' Brandon said to himself as he looked up at the ceiling.

"You've got a lot of magic to work, Brandon..." Candice said. She waited a few more minutes before going back out to her seat.

"Candice, are you all right?" Julie asked when Candice returned.

"I'm fine. Guess I just get nervous on planes as well. Maybe I should have taken some Dramamine." Candice suggested.

"Something else is up with you, Candice." Jeff blurted out.

"Believe what you will Jeff, but when the flight attendant comes by, I'm asking for ginger ale." Candice covered her tracks.
by TammTamm at 11:19 AM

"Are you going back to sleep?" asked Julie.

"Why should I?" replied Candice. "We're almost in New York, anyways. And my cousin Debra is dying to meet you. We promised to spent today with her."

"Jeff, maybe I could get your cell phone number and we can see you practice tomorrow," said Julie.

"Aah, I would love to do that but tomorrow is pretty much booked with interviews and photographs," said Jeff. "Candice, would your cousin mind if maybe we all go out to dinner tonight?"

Julie answered Jeff before giving Candice a chance. "We would love to go to dinner with you. I'm sure Debra won't mind at all!"
by Shawn at 3:48 PM

Sunday, April 08, 2001
Candice couldn't believe Julie. Julie was never so ballsy off the air. Ever. "Actually, Julie, ah... we do have plans and Debra would mind. I'm sorry Jeff." Candice covered. She had to deliver Julie to the Tavern On The Green restaurant so that Brandon could make up with Julie and plead his case to her.

"It's all right. Besides, we just met. You've probably got your vacation all planned." Jeff said, taking it all in stride. He didn't want to intrude on their vacation plans.

"Candi.... isn't there any way we could get out of tonight's plans? Please?" Julie asked.

"If it were any other night, Jules, we could. Please, Debra just wants to show us a good time tonight. She'll have to work most of the next few days and won't have that much time." `There, maybe that will be enough justification for Julie.' Candice inwardly sighed to herself.

"Well, I guess that would be all right." Julie said before thinking to herself, `What does Candice have up her sleeve?'
by TammTamm at 11:32 PM

Wednesday, April 11, 2001
Julie and Jeff decided not to speak to Candice and just let her rest for the remainder of the flight. They turned to each other and continued to chitchat.

Candice, on the other hand, decided how the Julie/Brandon meeting would go over.

After 20 minutes, a voice came on the intercom. "Attention ladies and gentlemen. Flight 703 from Tampa to New York should be approaching LaGuardia in approximately 15 minutes. Please return to your seats and fasten your seat belts," announced the flight attendant.
by Shawn at 11:08 AM

Julie and Jeff exchanged cell phone numbers and Jeff even gave Julie the number for the clubhouse in case he didn't answer his cell phone. Jeff was thinking that it would be nice to hook up with Julie away from Candice. He noticed Julie tense up as the captain announced that they were experiencing some turbulence and would have to ride it out before they could land the plane due to high winds at the airport.

"It's all right, Julie... it won't be long. These things happen all the time." Jeff explained.

"Yeah, right. And I'm Mary Poppins." Julie tried to laugh it off. Jeff motioned to a flight attendant.

"Yes?" The flight attendant said quickly.

"Is everything truly all right? It's just turbulence, right?" Jeff said trying to sound optimistic. He was scared as well.

"Yes, that's all it is... A front formed out of nowhere as we were about to land... we'll only be in the air for about another half hour at the most. Everything is fine." The flight attendant explained.

'Great!' thought Candice. 'More time with Jeff. He's cute yeah and I wouldn't mind him but Julie's got Brandon. Brandon wants her. And for all that time, she's cried for him. Ugh, I'll never understand her.'
by Shawn at 7:58 PM

Saturday, April 21, 2001
`Hmmm, well, maybe I could get Brandon to notice me?' Candice thought to herself some more.

"...Candice... earth to Candice?" Julie threw a balled up napkin at her friend.

"What?" Candice snapped out of her thoughts.

"Looks like the plane's landing. Is your seatbelt on?" Jeff asked with a smile. Candice checked her seatbelt and then focused her attention on Julie and Jeff as the plane landed.

Once the plane landed, Jeff and his manager were rushed off to some room for a news conference. Julie and Candice went in search of "Debra" and their luggage.

"Um, confession time..." Candice said as she grabbed her bag from the carousel.

"Confession time? What do you mean confession time?" Julie asked, "Just what the hell are you up to now Candice?" Julie was getting upset. Candice noticed a chauffer holding a sign with their names on it.

"Never mind... there's our driver... let's go." Candice said and led Julie over to where chauffer stood.

"Good afternoon ladies. Welcome to New York. My name is Pierre and I will be your driver." Pierre explained. "Can I help you with your bags?" he was polite.

"Hello Pierre. I'm Candice and this is Julie. I assume you have the address that we need to go to?" Candice asked.

"Candice? Don't you have the address? Just what are you up to?" Julie wondered out loud as Pierre took the ladies' bags and led them out to the limousine.
by TammTamm at 4:24 PM

Tuesday, June 05, 2001
"Nothing, just trust me, okay?" Candice replied.

"I don't know if I should at this point... you dragged me all the way up here on a plane no less and just as I was getting really comfortable with a guy, you whammy me with some lame excuse. Answers please." Julie stated as soon as they were in the back of the limousine.

"I hope you weren't getting too chummy with this guy, whoever he is." Brandon said from the far corner of the limousine.
by TammTamm at 6:24 PM

"What the hell?" Julie gasped as she focused in on where the voice was coming from. "Brandon... what are you doing here. Candice... you ... no ... both of you schemed this up, didn't you? I don't believe you Candice. You both have some nerve." Julie yelled out as she looked for the button to put the window down to the chauffer to stop the limousine.

"Please, don't be mad. We both love you. Brandon's been trying to apologize to you since you two broke up." Candice tried to explain. Julie pulled away from her.

"I don't believe either of you. He broke my heart and just when I started to pick up the pieces, you decided to stomp on it by tricking me into coming to New York to see him." Julie said. She finally found the button on the limousine and pushed it. "Pierre! Stop the car! Now!" she ordered.

"No, Pierre, everything's fine. Continue on to our destination." Brandon countered. `All right, she's pissed at me, but that means that she still cares. I still have a chance and I will not let her get away this time.' Brandon said to himself, grinning from ear to ear.

"Get that smug look off your face," Julie said.
by Shawn at 10:20 AM

Thursday, June 07, 2001
"You wouldn't listen to me before, Jules... dammit, you're going to listen to me now!" Brandon replied.

"Listen to what? Did you forget that you're the one that ended the relationship because you made it to the big leagues? You're the one that suggested it would be best if we saw other people. You're the one who stopped coming back home when time permitted. You're the one that stopped calling... you're the one that stopped caring. Pierre, if you don't stop this damn car, I'm going to get out of it while it's moving!" Julie declared. Pierre stopped the car. Julie got out of the car and started walking back towards the airport.

"This is going to be harder than we thought." Candice said to Brandon as Brandon also got out of the car.
by TammTamm at 12:24 PM

"Don't follow me!" Julie screamed back at them.

"And what? Leave you alone in New York? Are you crazy?" shouted Candice. "It wouldn't be the right thing to do. I wouldn't live with myself if I knew I dragged you all the way here, have you abandon me, and something happens to you."

Brandon agreed as he was running after Julie. "Julie, She's right. Let's be rational, here. Now get back into the car. I'll take the two of you to a hotel. This was a stupid plot to begin with."
by Shawn at 4:46 PM

"I can stay here. Jeff gave me his phone number. I'll just have him take me to a hotel. And when the vacation's over, Candice and I can get back together here," said Julie. "You know Brandon, I really did love you. I was standing by you when you blew off that well to do job to play with the Devil Rays over in Orlando. I was with you when they traded you to what team was after that. I was with you until you got into the majors and that went you called it quits!"

Brandon just chuckled. "See - you still love me! Now why would you go running to Jeff Rolen when all you did was have a conversation on the plane!"

"Candice! You told him? Well, for your information, chum, Jeff is more of a gentleman then you'll ever be!"
by Shawn at 4:59 PM

"And how do you know that?" Brandon asked her rhetorically. "You spent 2 hours on the plane with him. We were together for 4 years! And I've heard things about this guy I don't think you'd like. After all, we're on the same team!"
